Alia is the new star on the horizon of Bollywood and everybody loves her for her fresh looks and even fresher acting skills. She won hearts of millions of her fans all over the world with movies like Student of the Year, Highway and 2 States. You would think that she has so much control in her personality that shows on the silver screen, she must be quite mature but the reality is that Alia is merely 21 years old and is still in the process of embracing her maturity.
This petite beauty gave out a recent public statement in which she declared that she would not be working with the kings of Bollywood, the three Khans, since they’re in their 40s and Alia still looks like a little girl. According to her it would seem like an odd pairing and she wouldn’t look convincing playing their love interest.
She also added that since she is looking more and more matured everyday and there’s a lot of difference between what she used to look at the time of Student of the Year and now, she might be ready to do a movie opposite one of the Khans pretty soon. And, if the script demands for her to look the way she does at the moment then she won’t mind taking it further.
Backing that thought up, she said, “I have done a film with Randeep Hooda, in which I looked too young without make-up, which didn't look bad at all. So if there is a scope or a character and a role like that then it will work. "
Alia has worked with many new artists like herself, like Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra, and brought in the much-needed freshness in the industry. With every success she becomes a part of, she thinks it adds more pressure on her shoulders to do even better because her fans expect her to outdo herself.
To this we think, if Alia feels pressure working with young actors like herself, imagine how she’s going to feel with huge personalities like the Khans. But she has made herself very clear that she’s not going to opt for it before she starts looking all grown up. We wonder if she has a hidden message for the Khans in it—stop considering working with actresses half your age?
