Now Fanny Can Be Found A Bit Earlier than Scheduled

Homi Adajania’s Finding Fanny is the talk of the town these days. The stellar cast of this unconventional story is all set to dazzle the Hindi as well as English speaking audience. You will see Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia in never seen before acts in this movie.

Finding Fanny is about a group’s struggle to find an old postman’s bygone love named Stephanie Fernandez, aka Fanny. This eccentric group sets out on a journey to look for Fanny, who no one really knows is dead or alive or is just a fragment of somebody’s imagination, but on the journey to find her each of these characters find a meaning in their otherwise banal lives.

This quirky story is all set to release on September 12, which honestly none of us can really wait for, but the movie is scheduled to premiere two weeks before the actual release.  This is the kind of marketing strategy that has never been tried before in Bollywood but the producer of the movie, Dinesh Vijan, is insistent on the fact that Finding Fanny is a very unique product in today’s market and deserves to be treated uniquely.

The trailers of the movie has generated a very positive reaction from the Indian audience, which is why the makers of the movie decided to set the premier two weeks before the release and create ‘an actively interested forum for the film’.

Homi Adajania, of Being Cyrus and Cocktail fame, has given Finding Fanny his special touch of eccentricity and depth. He has very carefully woven these five pivotal characters that each one of them will not fail to touch your heart in the most unique way. Deepika’s character is that of a girl who is not scared to speak her mind and openly accepts the pointlessness of her life. Dimple on the other hand is a bit of an obnoxious, self proclaimed ‘lady’ who rattles everyone’s cage with her antics, especially her son, Arjun’s. But he also has other reasons to be bitter.

The combination of Homi’s careful direction and these brilliant actors’ wholehearted commitment to this off the wall comedy will make it a delight for you and your family. It is movies like Finding Fanny that refreshes Bollywood from time to time and gives audience a timeless and memorable story to relate to.
